The campaign concept for the Tanz im August festival of contemporary dance in Berlin aims to show that, while contemporary dance may appear to some as random movement, it is in fact guided by a flexible underlying system that shapes uniquely expressive stories. This idea is visually translated through a flexible grid system that allows pixel-based illustrations to move in a fluid yet structured way, generating dynamic visual elements such as dancers’ movements, patterns, and typography.
