“Ask Who Made It” is a cross-media awareness campaign built around one simple yet powerful question: Who made it? A question that points directly to the everyday products we consume — and the people behind them. The campaign uses this question to encourage individuals to reflect, question, and take action: to make more ethical choices, to spread awareness, and to challenge the corporate systems that profit from remaining invisible. It reveals how global capitalism continues to rely on modern forms of neocolonial exploitation — forced labor, child labor, and unsafe working conditions — particularly in underdeveloped regions. These practices trap entire communities in cycles of poverty, while powerful corporations and global brands in the Global North become wealthier, offering polished products to consumers while hiding the reality of how they’re made.
The campaign has been awarded Gold at the DDC Award 2025!
